The Freak tripod is the first of its’ kind to provide a multifunctional tripod package like this.  It provides the versatility to convert your Freak from 6” to nearly 74” in height.  Whether you are shooting from the ground in a prone position or glassing up that bull you’re going to chase in the morning from the truck the night before The Freak Nasty is the only solution you need. 

How do we do it:

The Freak Nasty comes with 2 sets of legs you can convert to a full size, full height, standing tripod to a shorter, mid- size tripod at just over 2 pounds with the quick change of the legs.  This allows for the versatility of using the same head for both configurations.  It also allows you have a tripod that is stable enough for any piece of glass in the standing position and light enough carry all day in your pack. 

The Freak Nasty also comes with two different center columns which allow additional versatility in height.  The 5 inch center column allows you to drop your tripod all the way to the ground for the most stable form of shooting.  While the 14.5” center column allows for additional versatility while glassing. 

Construction:

Every piece of carbon fiber is 28mm in diameter that provides significant stability but is extremely lightweight. 

The main body and all other pieces are made of CNC aluminum that adds to the stability and ruggedness of the tripod.  We’ve also utilized an angle adjustment that can not fail and springs will not break….because there aren’t any.  It’s proven to be the most rugged we have ever used.
